Its A Matter of 'TIME'. TIME. I don't wish for it to pass by slower anymore. Now I wish that there's more than just 24 hours in a day. It's like, there's so many things I wish I could accomplish in a span of TIME, but then I don't. And I get bewildered. Why is it that some people can do it, and I can't? How DO they do it??! And its frustrating when I have to sacrifice TIME that I should be spending with my family, esp my Iman. And let's not mention about TIME with friends. Reality actually sucks. I know, these things need effort. I just need TIME to adjust I guess. It's only been 2 months since I call myself a working mum. But it ironically feels like FOREVER. Anyhow, just some highlights of things that I've always wanted to blog about but had not found the TIME to do it till today.. hee.. 1. CNY 7.2.08. Hubby and me took Iman, SILS Ayu and Ika, and Ika's bestie to the Zoo. How TIMEly it was cos we were joined by hundreds of FCWs who used their off day to frolic in the Mandai sun instead of Mustafa. And was it even surprising to see many of our Chinese friends celebrating CNY there as well? What a merry day it was. And more TIMEly too because it happened to be the day we would last see Ah-Meng alive. Most importantly Iman at least got to see Ah-Meng alive. Whether she remembers her or not is a whole other matter. Take picture with parrot!! So exciting. Stopped for a morning tea-break in front of -can't remember what animal. Ah-Meng had slumped herself very near the observation window. We thought she was just old and tired. Didn't come across our minds that she was actually dying... sob sob... we would have emphatised with her more... Iman was clearly tired from all that information overload. 2. Sports Day 28.2.08. My third sports day with the school. Extra stressful cos I was Housemistress. But I'm glad all went well, despite tying at 4th place. At least we're not last! We can't call it last when there's 2 teams at the bottom rung can we?? :P. I think the kids had great sportsmanship! And I'm sure, given more TIME, we could do better with the cheers. Best of all, I had my most Important supporters on that day! Purple was THE colour to be that day. Heck, we even brought along the purple Bumbo! A couple of my star runners. Taught them when they were in P3 in '06. Though now they're in P5, I think they hardly grew an inch. But they sure can run! Funny how they're adorable when you don't teach them. Hee... Us, with the pretty pretty banner which has been re-used for 2 years! Ha ha.. Really no TIME (and no creativity) to make a new one. Azilah!! Come back!!
We had fun, no matter how we always lose out to the rest of the predator birds. What do you expect? We're the little cutie Robins against Eagle, Falcon, Hawk and Swift. Yeah, we're the cute little one. Thank you teachers who helped out and to my little Robinites, 'We'll do our best again next year!' And though my head was throbbing from all the cheering and enduring the mid-day sun, I took MIL and SIL to TOYOGO since we were already nearby. We love that place. It's plastic heaven I tell you! Even Iman didn't want to leave. Oh yah, by the way, 'Nyayi' is officially known as 'Oma' now. Bye for now~! |
